About this opportunity

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking bids for a construction and services project at the Snake River Forest Campground in Chengwatana State Forest near Pine City. The procurement involves drilling a 125-foot well, installing 125 feet of drop pipe with steel casing, and replacing the existing hand pump to address recurring bacteria issues and improve water quality. Contractors must submit electronic bids through the Swift Portal by May 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with no email or fax submissions accepted. The project requires comprehensive unit pricing that includes labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, sales tax, and all necessary components for project completion. Bid evaluation will focus on selecting the lowest responsible vendor who meets all specifications and contract terms, with the state reserving the right to award items separately or by total grouping to maximize state advantages. The project timeline mandates substantial completion by June 10, 2024, with final completion expected by June 26, 2024.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly noted in the provided documentation. The contract appears open to qualified contractors capable of meeting the technical specifications for well drilling and hand pump replacement. Contractors needing registration or submission assistance can contact the Contractor Assistance Help Desk at 651-201-8100, Option 1. While no incumbent vendor was identified, the project involves replacing existing infrastructure at the Snake River Forest Campground. The solicitation indicates that the DNR will be the final determining factor in assessing vendor qualifications and compliance with project specifications. No specific budget range or precise award value was disclosed in the available documents, though the procurement suggests a localized infrastructure improvement project with specific technical requirements for well and pump installation.
