About this opportunity
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking bids for a light upgrade project at the Sibley State Park Interpretive Center located in New London, Minnesota. The project requires a contractor to remove, dispose of, and replace existing track light fixtures within the exhibit area, which specifically includes installing five 12-foot tracks, three 8-foot tracks, one 6-foot track, six 4-foot tracks, and fifty-eight Juno Trac-Lites 10W LED R600L G2 white finish light fixtures. A mandatory pre-bid site visit was required by May 20th, 2025, with electronic bid submissions due through the Swift Portal by May 22nd, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The project is scheduled for substantial completion by June 13, 2025, with a final completion date of June 30, 2025. Evaluation criteria include compliance with specifications, with the contract to be awarded to the lowest responsible vendor meeting all requirements. Contractors must be registered with the Department of Labor and Industry and are required to contact the Project Supervisor, Jeremy Gehrke, at 320-347-7814 for site visit coordination.
The procurement encourages participation from diverse businesses, including those owned by minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with substantial physical disabilities. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage laws and provide proof of workers' compensation, automobile liability, and commercial general liability insurance. No specific incumbent vendors were identified in the documentation. While no explicit budget range was provided, the project is a lump sum bid with potential for separate item or grouped item awards. Contractors must complete a Contractor Detail Verification Form and certify workforce compliance, with particular attention to Minnesota state regulatory requirements. The DNR reserves the right to reject non-responsive bids and to award the contract in a manner most advantageous to the state. Potential bidders needing assistance with registration or bid submission can contact the Contractor Assistance Help Desk at 651-201-8100, Option 1.
