About this opportunity
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking bids for the Lake Louise State Park Contact Station AC Replacement project, a construction service involving the removal and installation of an AC condenser with a heat pump. The solicitation, identified as CONSTRUCTION & SERVICES 2025-936, requires electronic bid submission through the Swift Portal between April 30, 2025, and May 14, 2025, with a strict submission deadline of May 14, 2025. Contractors must provide unit pricing that comprehensively covers all project costs, including labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, sales tax, and use tax. The project requires completion by May 30, 2025, and the DNR will award the contract to the lowest responsible vendor who meets all specifications and terms. Evaluation criteria include compliance with solicitation requirements, technical specifications, and overall responsiveness, with the state reserving the right to award items separately or by total project scope to maximize state advantages.
Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) prior to contract award, as mandated by Minnesota Statute 326B.701, which requires registration for public and private building construction or improvement services. While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly mentioned, the state hints at potential preferences for Minnesota resident vendors and veteran-owned small businesses. Contractors needing assistance with registration or bid submission can contact the Contractor Assistance Help Desk at 651-201-8100, Option 1. The solicitation does not specify a precise budget range or award value, but emphasizes that all responses must fully comply with specifications to avoid rejection. Potential bidders should be prepared to provide proof of insurance and confirm compliance with prevailing wage statutes and construction service registration requirements.
