About this opportunity

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five for cafeteria services at their office in DeLand, Florida. The RFP seeks proposals from qualified vendors to provide full-service cafeteria operations, including food and beverage offerings, staffing, and accommodations for special functions. The expected contract term is one year with the option to renew. Key dates include a pre-proposal conference and site visit on April 7, 2022, a proposal due date of April 15, 2022, and an intended award posting on April 25, 2022. Evaluation criteria focus on the vendor's staffing plan, experience, and ability to accommodate special functions. This is a no-cost agreement, with the vendor generating revenue through sales to FDOT employees. The RFP encourages participation from small, minority, women, and service-disabled veteran businesses. Vendors must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and are subject to Florida's Scrutinized Companies Act. The RFP provides details on the cafeteria equipment and space available, as well as the estimated 461 FDOT employees as the potential customer base.

The RFP indicates that no proposals were received on the previous iteration of this project. It is open to all qualified vendors, with no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFP does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and there is no information provided about existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not specify a budget range or award value, as this is a no-cost agreement for the state.
