About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids on a disk order with a due date of July 31, 2008.
The source provides procedural conditions and evaluation framework but does not specify the quantity, type, capacity, or specifications of disks being procured, nor does it state an estimated contract value, contract term, or place of performance. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value to the State, with evaluation factors including quality, specification conformance, delivery date, and ultimate cost. Bids must include separate unit prices for each line item. All sealed bids must be received by the Division of Purchases office in Augusta, Maine prior to the closing deadline; late submissions will not be considered. Samples, when required, must be provided at no cost to the State. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated. Bidders must exclude federal and Maine state sales and use taxes from quoted prices. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in evaluation. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Bidders proposing alternate commodities must provide complete identification and descriptive literature. The State reserves the right to procure materials from alternative sources if the contractor defaults, charging excess costs to the contractor, except for delays caused by strikes, fires, acts of God, or other causes beyond reasonable control.
