About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for sanding abrasive discs, specifically 8-inch diameter discs with 180 grit clean sanding abrasive (item 737U, 31377), provided in boxes of 25 units. This procurement is for supplies required by Dallas County, Texas, and all purchase orders are subject to DART's standard Terms and Conditions. Vendors must submit bids through the BONFIRE registration system, with access to project details and the bid table available upon initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process. The procurement requires all bids to reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price; DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Key delivery requirements mandate strict adherence to specified delivery times and rates, with seller failure to meet these standards constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. The bid submission deadline is April 20, 2026, with the opportunity posted on April 13, 2026. Payment terms are structured on a Net 30 basis, with invoices payable 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later, unless alternative written agreements exist.

The procurement documentation does not specify set-asides or restrictions targeting disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other protected classifications based on the available information. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the solicitation materials. The contract price includes all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties, with DART exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. Vendors must comply with commercial warranty requirements covering merchantable quality, suitability for intended use, and compliance with product descriptions and specifications. Additional vendor requirements include equal opportunity employment provisions and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycott status, with all contracts governed by Texas law and subject to venue in Dallas County. The specific award value or budget range is not disclosed in the posted opportunity documentation.
