About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on a 150-ton D&K mechanical press brake guarding system for Fleet Services at the Augusta Fabrication Floor, with bids due December 19, 2007.
The scope specifies Package #1 from Triad, a dual logic microprocessor control system with plain diagnostic message display, OSHA-compliant control reliability, and component and systems diagnostics with indicator lights. The system retains the existing mechanical pedal. Components include a #3400 SS Control Panel with NEMA 12 enclosure and 480/240 VAC to 120 VAC transformer; #304 air cylinder assembly; #300 calibrated switch actuator; five #301 limit switches; #303 dual solenoid valve with muffler; #306 heavy-duty pressure switch; #311 LO filter-regulator-lubricator with air lockout; an 18-inch light curtain model TR-18-8K-20; and one set of model 9000 swing-mount brackets. The system operates at 440 volts and is documented in pages H5 and H6 of the Triad Catalog 2001.
Bids must be submitted using prescribed forms through the state's secure electronic response system with separate unit prices for each item unless otherwise specified. Awards will be made on best value to the responsible bidder, with evaluation criteria including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost to the state. In event of tie bids, in-state bidders or those with products manufactured in Maine receive preference. Bidders must submit firm pricing with specified cash discounts computed from the date of delivery and final acceptance or receipt of correct invoice, whichever is later. The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities or technicalities, increase or decrease quantities ordered by up to 10%, and is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use taxes.
