About this opportunity

Perry County Department of Human Resources is soliciting Round 1 quotes for FY2027 lawn service at its 1609 Highway 5 South facility in Marion, Alabama, with a mandatory site visit on October 27, 2026 and quotes due October 29, 2026. Vendors who do not attend and sign the attendance sheet will not have their quotes accepted.

The scope covers three service lines. Grass cutting is limited to a maximum of 20 cuts per fiscal year, with 15 cuts anticipated during the growing season and two to three cuts per month in spring and summer. Each cut must include weed eating in shrub beds, trimming and spraying around fences and buildings, edging along sidewalks and parking lots, removing grass and weeds from pavement, blowing clippings from all surfaces, fine mulching of leaves, and debris removal. Shrub and hedge trimming occurs two times annually, in spring and fall, and shrub cuttings must be removed from the property with each service. Water retention area maintenance consists of six cuts from April through September. Pricing is submitted as unit prices per grass cut, per shrub trim job, and per water retention area cut, with all service requirements included in those unit prices.

The contract term runs October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. Quote responses must remain valid through December 31, 2026. Payment is net 30 in arrears, with invoicing permitted only after services are performed. Primary contacts are Shenita Johnson at (334) 683-5507 and Linda Norfleet at (334) 683-5533.
