About this opportunity

DeSoto County is seeking a lawn maintenance services contractor to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance for eleven county-owned locations, including the courthouse, administration buildings, library, public safety facilities, and various county centers. The procurement opportunity, designated as TS-01, requires the selected vendor to supply all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision to achieve an aesthetically pleasing appearance across these sites. Specific maintenance tasks include complete mowing, trimming, plant bed maintenance, tree pruning, shrubbery care, chemical applications, litter control, and debris removal. The contract requires a monthly pricing model that accommodates varying maintenance frequencies throughout the year, with services to be determined by the Facilities Director. The solicitation was posted on August 16, 2025, with proposals due by September 12, 2025. The county reserves the right to order additional changes or extra work within the general scope of the contract through written addendums, with corresponding price and timeline adjustments.

The procurement does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises. The contract covers eleven distinct locations across DeSoto County, suggesting a comprehensive grounds maintenance requirement that may require substantial operational capacity. While specific award values are not disclosed, the breadth of locations and diverse maintenance requirements indicate a potentially significant contract value. The solicitation does not reference incumbent vendors or specify existing technological infrastructure that would require integration. Prospective contractors should be prepared to demonstrate capabilities in landscape maintenance, have appropriate equipment and staffing, and be able to provide consistent, high-quality grounds maintenance across multiple county facilities. Interested vendors should carefully review the full scope of work and be prepared to submit a competitive monthly pricing proposal that can flexibly accommodate seasonal variations in maintenance needs.
