Dental Equipment

The state and local contract opportunity, identified by ID 6620697a702d6d31490f9dd0, is a procurement for dental equipment across multiple jurisdictions in Virginia, specifically Richmond City and Roanoke City. The opportunity was initially posted on June 21, 2010, with a rapid turnaround time, as the due date was set for June 22, 2010, indicating an urgent procurement need. While specific details about the dental equipment are not explicitly provided in the document, the contract appears to be seeking dental-related equipment for municipal or public health facilities across these two Virginia jurisdictions. The brief timeframe between posting and submission suggests this may have been a time-sensitive procurement with potential immediate implementation requirements. The procurement covers two distinct city jurisdictions, Richmond City (FIPS Code 51760) and Roanoke City (FIPS Codes 51770 and 5177068000), which implies a potential multi-location deployment of the dental equipment.

Despite the limited information provided, the contract opportunity suggests potential set-aside provisions or procurement preferences, though specific details are not outlined in the available documentation. The dual jurisdiction approach might indicate a regional procurement strategy aimed at achieving economies of scale or standardizing equipment across municipal health facilities. Without additional context, it is challenging to determine precise award values, budget ranges, or specific vendor restrictions. The contract's short timeline and focused geographic scope suggest a targeted, potentially urgent procurement process. Further investigation would be required to understand complete vendor qualifications, evaluation criteria, and specific equipment specifications for this dental equipment procurement opportunity.
