About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of General Services, Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for an 8' x 20' auxiliary trailer for the Downeast Correctional Facility, with quotations due March 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. local time through the State of Maine's Advantage Vendor Self Service (VSS) electronic procurement system.
The trailer must be equipped with pressure-treated yellow southern pine decking, spare tire and mount, EZ lube hubs, 2 5/16 coupler, 3.5 ton jack, electric brakes, dual axle, DOT clearances, and loading ramps. Pricing must include all shipping and handling charges to Augusta, Maine under FOB Destination terms and exclude federal and Maine state sales and use taxes.
For bids exceeding $100,000, vendors must complete an economic impact form detailing salaries paid to Maine residents, payments to Maine-based subcontractors, state and local taxes paid, licensing fees, and charitable contributions made within the past 12 months. Bids with larger economic impact values receive a proportional reduction in total bid price for evaluation purposes.
The State will evaluate submissions on a best value basis considering conformity with specifications, delivery date, and lowest price among conforming bids. All quotations must remain valid and binding for a minimum of 180 days from the bid opening date. The Division reserves the right to negotiate with the selected bidder, reject any or all bids, or cancel the RFQ at its discretion.
