About this opportunity
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is requesting bids on nine custom kayak landscape trailers with accessories for the State Parks Division under IFB 802-26-83284, with bids due September 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time.
The scope is tandem axle 7×16 enclosed cargo trailers, new equipment only (no remanufactured or gray market items), meeting specifications of manufacturers such as Magnum 82"×16" 12K GVWR Tandem Axle Landscape, Tuff Dawg Trailer 7'×16" High Side Landscaping Trailer Ultimate, or TPWD-approved equivalents. Trailers must include electric brakes, spring suspension with 3,500-pound capacity per axle, DOT-compliant lighting and safety features, trailer jack, spare tire mount, and manufacturer's standard warranty. Respondents must specify delivery time in calendar days; delivery may be evaluated as a factor in best-value determination. Pricing must be quoted FOB destination with all costs—shipping, handling, fuel surcharges, delivery, and offloading—included in the unit price.
Delivery is to TPWD Headquarters Fleet Division at 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas. The contract commences upon issuance and expires upon delivery and final acceptance, typically within five working days of receipt. Upon delivery, TPWD will conduct acceptance inspection and performance testing; units not meeting specifications will be rejected and returned at the contractor's expense. The contractor must supply a dealer's tag within 60 days of delivery, original Certificate of Origin, Texas Title Application, VIN documentation, and proof of inspection if equipment exceeds 7,500 pounds GVWR.
TPWD reserves the right to award on the basis of lowest price, low total line items, or any combination serving the state's best interest. Bids are binding for 60 business days from the due date. Payment will be made within 30 days of proper invoice receipt and goods acceptance in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2251. Bids must be submitted via email to Purchasing.BidBox@tpwd.texas.gov or by mail or hand delivery in sealed envelopes.
