About this opportunity
The County of San Mateo is seeking competitive quotations for office furniture procurement, specifically targeting cubicle and workstation equipment for a designated delivery location at 50 Tower Road in San Mateo, California. The procurement involves six distinct furniture items: two 66" x 30" rectangular worksurfaces, two 42" x 20" rectangular worksurfaces, two 40" x 20" rectangular worksurfaces, all constructed with Action Laminates in Panolam pionite Wheat Fiber, along with four HON File/File Pedestals in Slate color and four Via Terra Task Chairs upholstered in Momentum Insight Ebony fabric. Vendors are required to complete a Pricing Bid Table in section 3 and submit comprehensive quotations that include accurate lead times and detailed freight/delivery costs. The solicitation has a posted date of December 18, 2025, with proposal submissions due by January 2, 2026. Evaluation criteria will focus on cost, product specification conformity, and overall product availability. The county intends to issue a purchase order to the lowest responsive bid from a qualified, manufacturer-authorized vendor, with considerations for the local tax rate of 9.375%.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The solicitation appears open to qualified vendors who can meet the specified product requirements and deliver within the expected timeframes. While no incumbent vendors were identified, the procurement suggests a standard office furniture replacement or upgrade project for the county. The exact budget range is not specified, but the scope involves six furniture pieces indicating a modest procurement value. Potential vendors must demonstrate manufacturer authorization, competitive pricing, and capability to meet the precise specifications for worksurfaces, file pedestals, and task chairs. The delivery location in unincorporated San Mateo County implies this is a localized procurement targeting county office furnishing needs.
