About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Public Safety, Colorado State Patrol (CSP), is issuing a competitive documented quote for the procurement of mobile printers and related accessories to equip fleet vehicles serving Denver County and Denver City. The solicitation seeks bids for up to 175 Brother PocketJet 7 thermal printers operating at 300 dpi resolution, 175 car adapters with 14-foot wired connections, and 175 USB cables with 6-foot lengths. These new printers will replace the currently installed Brother PocketJet 6 models in CSP Trooper vehicles. All equipment must be new and shipped FOB Destination to Golden, Colorado, with delivery available Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Mountain Time, excluding holidays. The award period extends from the effective date of the purchase order through June 30, 2017, contingent upon funds being appropriated and all bid requirements being satisfied. Bid submissions must be received via email to Purchasing Agent Tammy Lichvar at tammy.lichvar@state.co.us by Friday, July 15, 2016, at 2:00 PM Mountain Time, with late bids not accepted. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the quote most advantageous to the State of Colorado, with total price being the primary deciding factor; unit price prevails in case of price discrepancies, and delivery time may serve as a tiebreaker for equal bids.
Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) certified by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and registered in Colorado or maintaining a Colorado office are eligible to receive a 5% bid preference in the evaluation process. All bidders must submit Form W-9 with their bids, and the CSP is tax exempt. Pricing must be binding for the length of the award period and must include all FOB Destination shipping and handling costs. Invoices are due ten business days after receipt of order and should be directed to the Colorado State Patrol Support Services Branch. The solicitation incorporates Colorado's standard Solicitation Instructions and Terms and Conditions by reference, with reciprocity provisions mandated by state statute for nonresident bidders. No specific budget range or award value is listed in the solicitation; pricing will be determined by competitive bid evaluation. CSP may request phased delivery to support internal production and inventory goals throughout the award period.
