About this opportunity

Sacramento County is conducting a Request for Bid (RFB) for a Crowdstrike SAAS Endpoint Protection contract, seeking to purchase a one-year extension of Crowdstrike Falcon Endpoint Licensing and Support for 13,792 endpoints. The procurement covers multiple cybersecurity product categories including Falcon Endpoint Protection Enterprise Flexible Bundle, Falcon Firewall Management, Falcon Prevent, Falcon Insight, Threat Graph Standard, Falcon Overwatch Service, and additional mobile and cloud protection services. Key deliverables include comprehensive endpoint protection, firewall management, prevention applications, threat graph services, and mobile protection solutions. The bid requires vendors to provide every listed item to be considered, representing an "all or none" award approach. Critical dates include a question submission deadline of June 14, 2023 at 4:00 PM PST, with final responses due on June 23, 2023 at 4:00 PM. All submissions must be made electronically through the ProcureNow platform, with the county reserving the right to not award the contract. The procurement also includes provisions for CrowdStrike University Training Credits and University LMS Subscription Customer Access Passes.

The solicitation covers multiple jurisdictions, specifically Sacramento County and San Francisco City in California, and does not explicitly detail set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. While no incumbent vendor is directly mentioned, the bid suggests a potential five-year contract with options to extend the initial one-year agreement for four additional one-year periods. The comprehensive nature of the procurement indicates a sophisticated cybersecurity infrastructure upgrade, with line item quantities ranging from 1 to 13,792 units across various protection and service categories. The procurement includes detailed environmental purchasing policy guidelines and security supplemental terms emphasizing data protection, breach notification, and compliance requirements. Although specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the scale of the endpoint protection licensing (13,792 endpoints) suggests a significant technology investment potentially valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The county has incorporated extensive security supplemental terms, indicating a rigorous approach to technology procurement and vendor selection.
