Sacramento County and San Francisco City are seeking to procure a comprehensive CrowdStrike SAAS Endpoint Protection solution through a competitive bid process. The procurement (RFB #2022-RFB-0068) involves a one-year extension of CrowdStrike Falcon Endpoint licensing and support for 13,792 endpoints, with potential for two additional one-year contract extensions. Specific product offerings include Endpoint Protection Enterprise Flexible Bundle, Firewall Management Bundle, Prevent, Insight, Threat Graph Standard on GovCloud, Overwatch, and mobile security solutions. Vendors must complete and submit the mandatory "Crowdstrike Pricing Form" electronically through the ProcureNow platform. The solicitation was released on July 6, 2022, with a response deadline of July 22, 2022, at 3:00 PM PST. The county will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specified requirements and terms.
The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors capable of providing the specified CrowdStrike endpoint protection solutions. The licensing requirements cover a range of cybersecurity products, including 13,792 core endpoint protection licenses, 12,307 Threat Graph Standard on GovCloud licenses, and 1,485 HPS Threat Graph Standard licenses. Additional specialized offerings include Falcon Horizon (25 workloads), Discover for Cloud & Container (20 licenses), and training credits. While specific budget ranges are not detailed, the comprehensive nature of the licensing suggests a significant investment in cybersecurity infrastructure. The county reserves the right to award based on individual items, groups of items, or the entire list of items, and may reject any or all responses. There is a stated preference for Sacramento County and California-made products when price and quality are equal, aligned with environmental purchasing policies emphasizing recycled and environmentally preferable products.
