About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Southwest District is soliciting bids for Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP), Aluminized Culverts, and Polypropylene Pipes across multiple maintenance locations including Clinton, Cole Camp, Osceola, Preston, and Warsaw. The Invitation for Bid (IFB605SW23000231) seeks various pipe sizes ranging from 15" to 48" diameter for CMP and 15" to 36" diameter for Polypropylene pipes, with specific quantities required at each location. The procurement will be awarded on a firm fixed pricing, "low bid" basis, with pricing required to remain valid for 45 days. Delivery requirements mandate that materials be delivered Monday through Thursday between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM local time, with 24-hour advance notice required. Vendors must certify that all end products meet the attached specifications, and bidders are expected to indicate the specific gauge of CMP being bid and provide information about any necessary banding for pipes exceeding single-piece lengths. The bid response period is from August 10, 2022, to August 30, 2022, with bids due by 10:00 AM CDT, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The solicitation strongly encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation, with specific goals of 10% MBE and 5% WBE involvement through subcontractors, suppliers, or joint ventures. The procurement is subject to the Domestic Products Procurement Act, which provides a 10% price preference for American-made products on purchases over $25,000. Vendors must maintain specific insurance coverage, including general liability of $500,000 per person and $4,000,000 per occurrence, business automobile liability with similar limits, and workers' compensation coverage. Payment terms are set at Net 30 days after receipt of a correct invoice, with invoices to be submitted electronically to SWInvoices@modot.mo.gov. While no specific contract value is listed in the documentation, the solicitation covers multiple maintenance facilities and various pipe sizes, suggesting a potentially significant procurement value. The contract appears to be a one-time purchase with no specified renewal options, and MoDOT reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as needed.
