About this opportunity

The Cornwall-Lebanon School District in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, is seeking sealed proposals for the Cornwall Elementary Parent Pickup Lane Project through the PennBid Program. The procurement opportunity involves expanding an existing 4' wide paved pathway to an 11' wide driving lane for parent pickup, with comprehensive construction requirements including excavation, full-depth pavement installation, wearing course overlay, asphalt curb placement, and aluminum gate installation. Proposals are due electronically by 10:00 a.m. on October 10, 2025, with bid results to be posted on PennBid shortly after opening. Bidders are required to submit a bank cashier's check or bid bond for 10% of the total bid amount. An additive alternate for the project includes paving an existing stone parking lot at the entrance to the proposed pickup lane. Potential bidders can schedule a site visit by contacting Dan Brickley, the District's Director of Buildings and Grounds, at 717-389-1907. The project will be subject to prevailing wage rates and record-keeping procedures established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the procurement documentation. The Cornwall-Lebanon School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects, or irregularities at its sole discretion. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the requirement for a 10% bid bond suggests a substantial project investment. The procurement does not indicate any incumbent vendors or specify integration requirements with existing infrastructure. The project appears to be a straightforward infrastructure improvement focused on enhancing parent pickup logistics at Cornwall Elementary School. Interested contractors will need to carefully review the complete bidding documents available on the PennBid platform and ensure compliance with all specified technical and administrative requirements.
