The specific procurement involves purchasing medical-grade eye tissue for implant purposes within Suffolk County, specifically located at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital. Interested vendors must contact the designated campus contact within 15 business days of the November 6, 2025 advertisement notice. The contract is structured for a one-year term, with a proposal submission deadline of December 1, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Vendors must be prepared to complete and submit comprehensive documentation including Vendor Responsibility forms, NYS Finance Law 139 compliance, NYS Tax Law Section 5-a documentation, and current NYS Workers' Compensation and Disability Forms. This procurement is subject to NYS Finance Law 139 j&k (Lobbying Law), which strictly limits vendor communication to the specified campus contact.

The procurement opportunity does not include a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business set-aside designation. The current incumbent vendor is Cornea Gen, which has been awarded identical or substantially similar contracts within the past five years. The procurement has a maximum budget of $125,000, representing the discretionary spending authority for this eye tissue acquisition. Vendors should note that non-compliance with procurement requirements could result in contract denial or potential debarment from sales to New York State agencies. The procurement covers Suffolk County and specifically targets the Swan Lake CDP jurisdiction, with the primary procurement location being SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital. Vendors must be licensed eye banks capable of providing high-quality cornea and sclera tissue for medical implantation, with a demonstrated ability to meet stringent medical and regulatory standards.
