About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on memory (COP PURCHASE-V890 MEMORY) with bids due January 12, 2011.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost to the State. A preference for in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine applies where price, quality, and availability are equal.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item using prescribed forms or electronic mediums, with sealed bids or electronic secure responses required to reach the Division of Purchases office in Augusta, Maine by the specified closing date and time. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, shall be prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Bidders must specify definite delivery terms and may offer cash discounts; however, discounts under 20 days will not be considered in contract award.
The State is exempt from Federal taxes and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and bidders should quote accordingly without including these taxes. Tie bids are resolved based on factors determined by the Director to serve the State's best interests. The Division of Purchases reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent, and procure materials from alternative sources if the contractor defaults, charging any excess costs to the contractor. Contractors must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. The Maine Chemical Substance Identification Law requires manufacturers and suppliers of hazardous chemicals to provide current material safety data sheets to direct purchasers.
