About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids for a disk order for VM Phase 2 under a cooperative purchasing vehicle, with bids due May 17, 2010.
Unit prices must be submitted separately for each item. Bidders must use prescribed forms and submit sealed bids or electronic responses to the Division of Purchases, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine by the closing date and time; bids received after the deadline will not be considered. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Bidders must exclude Federal and Maine State Sales and Use taxes from quotes, as the state is exempt.
Awards will be made on best-value basis to the lowest responsible bidder, with consideration given to quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost to the state. Payment terms and cash discounts of 20 days or more will be factored into the low-bid determination; discounts under 20 days will not be considered due to standard accounting procedures. Tie bids will be resolved in favor of in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities or technicalities, increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated, and require that all deliveries comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Contractors must provide items exactly as specified on the Purchase Order, and any deviation may result in rejection. All hazardous chemicals must be accompanied by current material safety data sheets in compliance with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law.
