About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting sealed bids for a VM Phase 2 disk order under cooperative purchasing, with bids due May 17, 2010 at Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, with evaluation considering service quality, material conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. In tie-bid situations, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, accept individual items or groups of items as deemed in the State's best interest, and adjust quantities by up to 10 percent unless otherwise stated.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item using prescribed forms and electronic submission methods. All transportation charges and freight costs must be included in pricing, prepaid and at the contractor's expense unless otherwise specified. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder; discounts under 20 days will not be considered. Bids received after the closing deadline will not be considered. Bids may only be withdrawn by written notice submitted before contract award.
The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; bidders should quote accordingly. Contractors are prohibited from assigning, subletting, or transferring contracts without written consent from the Director. All deliveries must comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
