About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids for a disk purchase for VM CMCC-PROD-B cluster, with bids due May 17, 2010.
The solicitation establishes standard procedural requirements for bid submission and evaluation. Bidders must submit separate unit prices using prescribed forms or electronic mediums, with sealed bids or electronic secure responses required at Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine prior to the closing deadline. Transportation charges, including freight and express delivery costs, are prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value to the State, considering quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities or technicalities, accept individual items as deemed appropriate, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated.
Pricing terms must include specification of cash discounts and payment terms; cash discounts under 20 days are not considered in contract award determinations. The State is exempt from federal taxes on articles not for resale and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and bidders should quote accordingly.
In case of contractor default, the Division reserves the right to procure materials from alternative sources and charge any excess costs to the contractor. Contractors are not liable for failures or delays resulting from strikes, fires, acts of God, or causes beyond reasonable control. All deliveries must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Manufacturers, importers, suppliers, or distributors of hazardous chemicals must provide current material safety data sheets in accordance with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law.
