Palm Beach County's Board of County Commissioners and Purchasing Department issued Request for Quotation #700105/KP on August 29, 2016, for the purchase and delivery of disposable food containers for Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control. The County seeks two-piece, white, non-toxic food containers with interlocking corners, specifically Southern Champion Lock Corner Sausage Box #1701 or equal, with dimensions ranging from a minimum of 10" L x 7" W x 2" D to a maximum of 13" L x 9" W x 2" D, and a maximum capacity of five pounds, with an estimated annual quantity of 20,000 containers per case. Vendors must provide firm, fixed unit pricing with no escalation clauses, and prices must remain firm for 90 days from the opening date and throughout the initial and any subsequent contract terms. Delivery is required within 10 calendar days of receiving a delivery order, with the F.O.B. point at destination and the vendor responsible for all transportation charges, liability, and risk in transit. Quotes must be submitted by September 12, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. local Palm Beach County time via fax or email to Kerry L. Parker. The successful vendor will be awarded a 12-month term contract with the option to renew for four additional 12-month periods upon mutual written agreement and subject to Board appropriation of funds. Payment will be made upon the County's satisfaction and acceptance of delivered items, and the County does not accept minimum order requirements.
Vendors responding to this solicitation must comply with Palm Beach County's Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program requirements, and certified small businesses submitting bids within 10 percent of the lowest responsive, responsible bid may receive preference. A 5 percent local preference is available to vendors with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades, provided they submit a valid Business Tax Receipt and completed Certification of Business Location. All vendors must submit a non-discrimination policy compliant with Palm Beach County Resolution R-2014-1421 and comply with the Criminal History Records Check Ordinance (Palm Beach County Code Section 2-371 through 2-377).
