About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of contact segments, collars, truck leads, and traction motor assemblies under Purchase Order 2098076. This procurement is open to vendors in Dallas County and the City of Dallas, Texas. The specific deliverables include contact segments, collars, truck leads, and traction motor assemblies, though detailed specifications are accessible only through the Bonfire registration portal after initiating the submission preparation process. Vendors must comply with DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which emphasize that delivery time and rate are essential to the order, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors must be capable of meeting the specified delivery timelines as failure to do so may result in contract termination for default. The submission deadline is March 18, 2026, with the opportunity posted on March 11, 2026, providing a seven-day bidding window. Vendors must register on the Bonfire platform to access complete project details and the BidTable with vendor response fields.

The procurement terms specify Net 30 payment conditions, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and payment issued 30 days from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt. All sellers are required to provide commercial warranties ensuring merchantable quality and compliance with specifications, and all procurement is subject to Texas state law with venue in Dallas County. DART, as a public transit authority, is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, which vendors must acknowledge in their submissions. The terms and conditions include mandatory certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycotts, and vendors must comply with equal opportunity provisions. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are explicitly mentioned in the available documentation, the complete procurement details, including evaluation criteria, possible award values, and budget ranges, are contained within the BidTable accessible only through the Bonfire portal after registration and initiation of the submission process. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available materials.
