About this opportunity

This is a state-level construction procurement opportunity posted by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) for multiple projects across several counties in New York State. The procurement includes a variety of infrastructure improvements such as guiderail replacement, ramp realignment, intersection improvements, culvert replacements, bridge repairs, traffic signal updates, and pedestrian safety enhancements. Contractors will be required to perform construction, rehabilitation, and remediation work on roads, bridges, and other transportation assets. Key deliverables include unit pricing, construction schedules, and compliance with project-specific goals. Bids are due on June 7, 2018 and must be accompanied by a bid deposit ranging from $30,000 to $400,000 depending on the project.

The procurement includes opportunities for disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs), with project-specific DBE goals ranging from 0-7% of the contract value. Some contracts have additional minority-owned business enterprise (MBE) and women-owned business enterprise (WBE) goals. Contractors must demonstrate their ability to meet these participation requirements. The total potential value of the procurement is not explicitly stated, but individual project values range from approximately $190,000 to over $10 million.
