About this opportunity

This is a state-level construction and maintenance contract opportunity from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). The contract consists of several projects across multiple counties in New York, including bridge rehabilitations, bridge replacements, bridge cleaning, and asphalt concrete resurfacing. Key deliverables include the rehabilitation of bridges on Routes 9 and 20 in Rensselaer County, replacement of a bridge on Route 327 over Enfield Creek in Tompkins County, and 0.6 miles of asphalt concrete resurfacing on Main Street in the City of Hornell in Steuben County. Bidders must provide bid deposits ranging from $75,000 to $750,000 depending on the project. Bids are due by January 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM and will be publicly opened and read.

Some of the contracts have 10% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals, while others have 0% DBE goals. Contracts with 0% DBE goals are generally single operation contracts where subcontracting is not expected, potentially presenting direct bidding opportunities for small businesses, including Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs). No information is provided regarding incumbent vendors or existing technology integration requirements. The total award value across the multiple projects is not specified, but the bid amounts range from $880,360 to $6,280,443.
