About this opportunity

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is soliciting garbage pickup service for Lake Lurleen State Park in Coker, Alabama (Butler County) under a Quick Quote, with responses due September 17, 2026. The cumulative contract value may not exceed $25,000 over an initial term of October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, with potential annual renewals up to five years total.

The scope requires once-weekly garbage pickup October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, and twice-weekly pickup April 1, 2027 through September 30, 2027. Vendors must be authorized to perform garbage pickup service in the specified area. DCNR intends to establish a multi-year agreement; the final contract term and renewal schedule will be determined at award based on awarded pricing and anticipated usage. Suppliers must maintain consistency in pricing, products, services, specifications, and all deliverables throughout the entire contract term.

Vendors must be registered in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically through that platform. All suppliers must comply with Alabama's Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, including E-Verify enrollment verification, and must register with the Alabama Secretary of State if operating as a foreign corporation. The State is exempt from paying sales tax and reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis. Price escalations during performance may be considered if costs significantly increase through no fault of the supplier, provided increases do not exceed 5 percent of annual contract cost and are supported by documentation.
