About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Division of Procurement Services, is requesting quotations for commercial-grade NSF-listed chrome shelving units and shelves, with quotations due February 19, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time via the State's Advantage Vendor Self Service (VSS) electronic procurement system.
The scope consists of 18-inch-deep chrome shelving units in two configurations (72-inch long and 60-inch long), both 74 inches high with four shelves per unit and 450-pound shelf ratings, plus compatible individual shelf components. The anticipated initial order includes 40 complete 18"×72"×74" shelving units and 80 additional 18"×72" shelves; however, this quantity is not guaranteed. All pricing must include transportation charges with FOB Destination terms, with the State bearing no shipping costs.
The initial contract term runs from March 12, 2019 through March 31, 2020, with two optional one-year renewal periods extending through March 31, 2022. The resulting contract will be structured as a Master Agreement available to all State of Maine departments, municipalities, political subdivisions, and school districts at quoted prices.
Evaluation will be conducted on a best value basis, considering product conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and pricing. Awards generally go to the lowest-priced qualified bidder unless that vendor has documented poor performance or prior contract terminations within five years. Bidders must submit the bid cover page with debarment certification, itemized quotes on company letterhead, product data sheets, and warranty information. Pricing must be submitted in Excel format on the State's cost response sheet. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes on articles not for resale and will provide exemption certificates upon contract finalization. All submissions become public records following award announcement.
