About this opportunity
The Pennsylvania State Police, specifically the Bureau of Patrol and Bureau of Training and Education, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive services for a Collision Reconstruction Seminar in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The procurement involves securing a facility that offers lodging, conference rooms, parking, and refreshment services for a training event scheduled from October 30 through November 3, 2017. The contracted venue must be located within one mile of the York Street exit on Route 30. The contract opportunity, posted on May 10, 2017, with an immediate due date, requires potential vendors to carefully review the Statement of Work and Terms and Conditions. A critical evaluation criterion includes the layout and suitability of meeting, training, and breakout rooms, which directly impact training strategies. Interested vendors should contact Amber Lontz at alontz@pa.gov or 717-705-5952 for any questions regarding the invitation for bid (IFB).
The contract offers potential for long-term engagement, with options for up to four one-year renewals, subject to mutual agreement between the Pennsylvania State Police and the awarded vendor. Annual rate increases are capped at 5%. The contract will initially commence upon execution of the purchase order or October 30, 2017, and terminate on December 31, 2017, with a potential final termination date of December 31, 2022. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are mentioned, the procurement is tied to state and/or federal funding availability, with the Commonwealth reserving the right to terminate services if funds are not appropriated. The solicitation does not disclose a specific budget range or award value, but vendors should be prepared to provide comprehensive seminar support services for a multi-day law enforcement training event. Renewal of the contract is contingent upon the contractor providing written notification to the PSP Bureaus of Training and Education and Patrol.
