About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a Coin System without Hoppers (Contract #2097640) in Dallas County, Texas. This procurement involves the purchase of coin handling equipment designed to operate without hopper mechanisms, with delivery constituting the primary deliverable. The bidding process requires registration in the BONFIRE system to access complete project details and the bid table, where vendors must submit their responses. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and timely delivery is essential to contract performance, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules serving as grounds for rejection and default termination. The bid due date is January 30, 2026, with registration and submission initiated through the "Prepare Your Submission" process on the procurement portal. Vendors are evaluated based on their ability to comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, meet delivery timeline requirements, and provide competitive pricing. Payment will be made under Net 30 terms from invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to the Authority's accounts payable department.

The procurement documents do not indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting bidder eligibility based on disadvantaged enterprise status or organizational classification. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available procurement materials. Vendors must comply with DART's standard contractual requirements, including equal opportunity employment provisions, certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycotts, and adherence to Texas law with venue in Dallas County. All pricing must include applicable federal, state, and local taxes, though DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. The specific budget range or award value for this procurement is not disclosed in the publicly available information; interested vendors should access the complete BidTable through the BONFIRE registration process to obtain detailed specifications and pricing guidance.
