About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART), a public transportation agency operating in Dallas County, Texas, is soliciting bids for the procurement of a Cummins coil ignition component (part number 5626388), referenced as item number 2097590. The solicitation was posted on February 8, 2026, with a bid due date of February 11, 2026, providing a compressed three-day response window for interested vendors. Prospective bidders must register with the BONFIRE procurement platform to access complete project details and the bid submission table. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and timely delivery is explicitly identified as essential to the order, with delivery failures potentially resulting in order rejection and default termination. Vendors should note that DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add shipping arrangements. No specific evaluation criteria, site visits, or bidders' meetings are outlined in the available documentation, though the emphasis on delivery performance suggests this will be a key consideration in vendor selection.

The procurement documentation does not identify any set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted categories of respondents, suggesting this is an open competition. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are referenced in the available materials. Payment will be issued under Net 30 terms, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and must include the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals; payment is made 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later, unless alternative terms are negotiated in writing. The specific budget or award value for this procurement is not disclosed in the posted opportunity materials. All purchase orders are subject to DART's standard Terms and Conditions, with the complete document available in the Supporting Documentation section of the solicitation.
