About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a Closer, Door, Series #4400/Silver component, with a posting date of January 30, 2026, and a bid due date of February 6, 2026. This procurement involves the purchase of a specific door closer model designed for transit infrastructure applications. Bidders are required to register in the BONFIRE system to access complete project details, specifications, and the BidTable where vendor responses must be submitted. The procurement mandates that all pricing reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall bid price, and DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Delivery timelines are critical to this procurement, with the terms and conditions explicitly stating that time and rate of delivery are essential to the order, and seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. While specific evaluation criteria beyond delivery performance are not detailed in the available documentation, vendors must demonstrate their ability to meet DART's quality and specification compliance standards, with commercial warranties covering merchantable quality required as part of all submissions.
The available documentation does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or incumbent vendor information for this procurement. No budget range or award value is disclosed in the posted opportunity materials. All purchase orders issued by DART are governed by the standardized Terms and Conditions document, which includes provisions for inspection and acceptance at destination, equal opportunity requirements, and conflict-of-interest certifications. Payment terms are Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and payment made 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later. The Contracting Officer retains the authority to make written changes to the order with equitable adjustments to price or schedule if changes affect seller costs, provided claims for adjustment are submitted within 30 days of change order receipt. All contractual matters are governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
