About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of a CLOSER, DOOR, SERIES #4400/ SILVER, as detailed in the contract opportunity posted on December 11, 2025, with responses due by December 18, 2025. The procurement is specifically for Dallas County, Texas, and requires potential vendors to register through Bonfire to access complete bid details. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and must adhere to DART's strict delivery requirements where time and rate of deliveries are considered essential. All bids must be comprehensive, including detailed line-item information, and submitted electronically. Vendors are required to follow the purchase order terms and conditions, which include provisions for inspection, testing, and conformance to technical specifications. The contracting process mandates that invoices be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org, containing specific detailed information such as purchase order number, item number, descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement follows standard commercial and governmental procurement guidelines. The contract requires vendors to comply with equal opportunity requirements and includes certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and boycotts. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of either the invoice or order, whichever is later. The documentation indicates that DART retains comprehensive termination rights for both convenience and default, with liability limited to payment for accepted deliveries completed prior to termination. The contract will be governed by Texas law, with venue specifically designated in Dallas County. While no specific award value or budget range is provided in the documentation, vendors should be prepared to meet DART's rigorous technical and operational standards for the door closer procurement.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
