About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement for door closers, Series #160, issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas. The solicitation requires vendors to submit bids through the Bonfire registration platform, with a specific focus on procuring door closers for DART's operational needs. The contract opportunity has a posted date of December 11, 2025, and a due date of December 18, 2025, with strict delivery and performance expectations. Vendors must comply with FOB Destination shipping terms, ensuring freight costs are included in the overall pricing. Key contractual requirements include submitting detailed invoices to APInvoices@dart.org, including specific documentation like purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement emphasizes precise delivery timelines, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules potentially resulting in order rejection and default termination.
While the documentation does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions, the contract includes comprehensive terms and conditions that all potential vendors must navigate. The procurement is governed by Texas law, with venue established in Dallas County, and requires vendor certification for anti-terrorism and Israel boycott provisions. Vendors must provide commercial warranties covering merchantable quality and intended use suitability. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, calculated from either invoice or order receipt. Although specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the provided documentation, the contract suggests a structured procurement process with rigorous performance expectations. Interested vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access full bid details and submit comprehensive responses that meet DART's technical and administrative requirements.

DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. Seller's failure to deliver at the time and rate specified shall be the basis for rejection and default termination by the Authority (*Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority*). **Payment Terms Notice -** All vendors are advised that DART's payment terms are Net 30. Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. Unless otherwise specified, payment will be made on partial deliveries accepted by the Authority when the amount due on such deliveries so warrants. *Invoices will be paid 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later, unless other payment terms have been agreed upon in writing.* **Termination for Default Notice -** The Contracting Officer may by written notice terminate this order, in whole or in part, for failure of the Seller to perform any of the provisions hereof within the time periods specified. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
