About this opportunity

The City of Austin Purchasing Office is requesting quotations for CleanSpace CST Ultra Power Systems respirators, masks, filters, and accessories for Austin Fire Arson Investigators, with quotes due May 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. under IFQ 8300 JRH1026. The solicitation was initially distributed to certified HUBS and M/WBE vendors; if adequate responses were not received from that pool, it was subsequently posted online at Austin Finance Online and distributed to all vendors registered for the applicable commodity codes.

The equipment will provide respiratory protection with full face masks against airborne particulates, hazardous liquids, and gases encountered during arson investigations. The bid package requests pricing on seven line items: one CleanSpace CST Ultra Power System (12 units), full face masks in Small (1 unit) and Medium/Large (11 units), combined filters (300 units), cleaning and storage plugs (12 units), spectacle kits (5 units), and tear-off visor anti-scratch protectors in packs of 10 (12 packs). All quantities are estimates; the City does not guarantee purchase of the specified quantities.

Quotations must be submitted on an FOB Destination basis with all freight charges, handling, and discounts included in the item price and prepaid by the vendor. The City of Austin is exempt from federal excise tax and state sales tax; tax must not be included in quoted prices. Award will be made to the lowest responsive offer meeting minimum qualifications. The City reserves discretion to compare quotes by individual line items, categories, aggregate price, or other basis deemed advantageous. Payment is due within thirty days of receipt of properly documented invoices upon satisfactory delivery. Quotes should be submitted by email to Rebecca Hall at rebecca.hall@austintexas.gov.
