About this opportunity

Monroe Public Schools in Michigan is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a District Technology Refresh project covering the 2026/2027 fiscal year, with proposals due by May 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM via email to miracle@monroe.k12.mi.us and hauser@monroe.k12.mi.us. The procurement encompasses three distinct project categories: District Interactive Screen Displays (Partial Refresh), District Interactive Screen Displays (Full Refresh), and Classroom/Secretary Desktops. The Partial Refresh includes 15 units of 75" interactive touch displays, 25 units of 86" interactive touch displays, 4 Samsung commercial televisions, 30 static mounts, 44 audio/voice amplification systems with wireless microphones, 3 ceiling speaker kits, and installation labor. The Full Refresh expands significantly to 120 units of 75" interactive touch displays, 15 units of 86" interactive touch displays, 4 Samsung commercial televisions, 105 electronic adjustable mounts, 32 static mounts, 155 audio/voice amplification systems, 50 ceiling speaker kits, and 60 round ceiling speaker kits. The Desktop Computers category requires 425 units featuring Windows 11 Pro Education, Intel Core i5 or Ultra 5 processors, 16GB RAM (upgradeable to 32GB), and 256GB SSD storage (upgradeable to 512GB). All specified products must be from nationally recognized manufacturers with no substitutions permitted without prior district approval. Bidders must submit complete unit pricing, extended pricing, and installation labor costs on provided Excel forms and are encouraged to conduct site visits prior to submission.

Respondents must provide comprehensive company qualifications including corporate headquarters location, sales and support office locations, company history, three current client references with contact information, audited financial statements for the two most recent fiscal periods, and proof of required licenses or permits. All vendors must comply with Michigan's Prevailing Wages on State Projects Act (MCL 408.1101, et seq.), pay prevailing wage rates for construction mechanics in Monroe County, maintain state project registration, and submit certified payroll records to the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity. The district is exempt from federal excise and sales taxes, so no sales tax should be included in proposals, and all required permits, licenses, and associated costs are the responsibility of the service provider. Upon project completion, vendors must conduct complete site cleanup, remove all waste materials, and leave work areas in broom-clean condition. Monroe Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to retain all manufacturer price reductions, discounts, and rebates for district benefit. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the RFP, and no incumbent vendors or set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are identified in the available documentation.
