About this opportunity

The Superior Court of California, County of Imperial is seeking the services of a consultant with experience to conduct a comprehensive, court-wide classification and compensation study. The study will cover approximately 38 classifications across the Court's 102 employees at three locations - Imperial City, Imperial Beach City, and Imperial County. The scope of the study includes a classification review to evaluate job classifications, provide recommendations on creating, eliminating, or modifying existing classifications, and allocate employees to appropriate job titles and classes. The compensation study will include a full compensation survey of comparable jurisdictions, analysis and recommendations for changes to the present compensation structure, and updates to the salary ranges and placement for each classification. The consultant will also propose a review/appeal process and facilitate meetings, orientations, and status updates throughout the study. The desired outcomes are to ensure the classification specifications are aligned with business needs and the compensation ranges are competitive externally and equitable internally.

The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. It also does not provide information on any listed incumbent vendors or current contractors, existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration, or possible award values or budget ranges. The RFP indicates a two-stage evaluation process, with written proposals scored on criteria such as experience, work plan, and acceptance of terms, followed by interviews with the top three ranked firms. The proposal due date is May 29, 2024, with a target contract start date of June 24, 2024 and an end date of December 4, 2024.
