About this opportunity

Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) in North Carolina is seeking proposals for a comprehensive academic and event scheduling system through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The college requires a cloud-native SaaS solution to optimize course offerings, space allocation, and faculty schedules across its multiple locations in Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties. The desired solution must provide functionality for room reservations, course scheduling, catalog management, integration with the college's Ellucian Colleague/Banner system, and advanced analytics capabilities. Vendors must provide itemized pricing for hosting, implementation, technical support, training, licensing or subscription fees, and maintenance. The evaluation criteria include conformance to specifications, total cost of ownership, security, schedule, references, and past performance. Proposals are due by April 12, 2024, and a contract award is anticipated by May 24, 2024. The contract term will be one year with two one-year renewal options if the solution is provided as Software as a Service, or 90 days after successful implementation if the solution is provided as Software as a Product.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFP also does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it mention any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not provide information about the possible award values or budget ranges.

Opportunity text

CCCC has determined the need to implement a comprehensive academic and event scheduling system comprising both the operational and logistical activities around scheduling courses and facilities. Because of our multitude of locations, a scheduling system is needed to optimize course offerings, space allocation, and faculty schedules across a tri-county service area. We have also seen a need for an electronic catalog to replace our current PDF versions which are difficult to maintain and search.
