About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure a specific constant torque hose clamp with precise specifications: a 5/8" wide clamp capable of fitting diameters between 1 3/4" and 2 5/8". The procurement opportunity is posted for Dallas County, Texas, with a bid submission deadline of December 23, 2025. Vendors must complete registration through the Bonfire platform to access full bid details and project documentation. All bid submissions must adhere to FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs integrated into the overall pricing. Key performance requirements include strict adherence to delivery schedules, as DART considers timing and delivery rates essential, with potential contract termination for vendors failing to meet specified performance standards. Invoicing must follow specific guidelines, including submission of triplicate invoices to APInvoices@dart.org with comprehensive documentation such as purchase order number, item details, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, vendors must comply with DART's standard procurement protocols. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of either the invoice or purchase order, whichever occurs later. The procurement appears to be a targeted, specific acquisition for a specialized hardware component, suggesting potential compatibility requirements with existing transit infrastructure. Though no specific budget range is provided, the focused nature of the procurement implies a relatively narrow scope. Vendors must be prepared to meet stringent administrative requirements, including detailed documentation, precise delivery specifications, and potential performance evaluations that could impact future contracting opportunities with DART.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
