About this opportunity
The City of Social Circle, Georgia is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide preliminary engineering report, final design, and construction administration services for federally-assisted projects. The selected firm will support the City on projects funded through programs such as Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Employment Incentive Program (EIP), Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority (GEFA), and Economic Development Administration (EDA). The firm will be expected to deliver a Preliminary Engineering Report, design services, and construction administration for a FY2024 CDBG project, with the potential for additional project contracts over a 24-month period. Responding firms must have a strong record of successfully assisting local governments with federally-funded projects and be qualified to work with federal compliance requirements. Proposals are due by January 2, 2024, and the City will evaluate firms based on their history, federal funds experience, key personnel, workload, proposed scope, similar project experience, and fee percentages.
This procurement does not have any set-aside designations, but the City abides by various civil rights laws pertaining to HUD-assisted projects, including Section 3 requirements that encourage participation by Section 3 business concerns. The City has not identified any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and the budget range for the CDBG project and any future contracts has not been specified.
