The City of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, is soliciting sealed bids for a Department of Public Works (DPW) Pole Building Plumbing/HVAC Project through the PennBid online procurement platform. The project involves comprehensive construction work for a newly constructed 100' x 44' pole barn, specifically focusing on plumbing, fire suppression, and HVAC installations. Bidders are required to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete a full installation within the facility. Bidding documents will be available online at www.PennBid.net starting August 16, 2025, at 5:00 pm, with sealed bids due by August 29, 2025, at 10:00 am. All submitted bids must include a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, representing 10% of the total bid amount. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this contract, and while there is no pre-bid meeting scheduled, prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the project site and review construction documents, with work limits marked in white paint.

There are no specific Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Women Business Enterprise (WBE) requirements for this project. Contractors must be capable of performing comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work within the specified scope. The bids will be opened online immediately following the submission deadline and referred to the Nanticoke City Council for final award at their regularly scheduled meeting. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the project involves a complete mechanical system installation for a new municipal facility. Interested contractors will need to demonstrate technical capability, compliance with prevailing wage regulations, and the ability to provide the necessary bonding.
