Citrix XenDesktop Licenses (RENEWALS) for School Division

The state and local contract opportunity involves the procurement of Citrix XenDesktop Licenses for the Surry County School Division in Virginia. The specific procurement is a renewal of existing software licenses, targeting technology infrastructure for educational technology systems. The contract opportunity was posted on December 20, 2013, with a proposal submission deadline of January 10, 2014. Potential vendors are required to provide renewal licenses for Citrix XenDesktop, which suggests the school division is maintaining its existing virtual desktop infrastructure. The procurement appears to be a straightforward renewal process focused on maintaining technological continuity for the school district's digital learning environment. While detailed technical specifications are not provided, vendors would likely need demonstrated experience with Citrix licensing and educational technology solutions.

No specific set-aside designations or vendor restrictions are explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. The contract appears to be open to qualified technology vendors with appropriate Citrix licensing capabilities. Given the nature of the procurement as a renewal, it is probable that the current vendor or a select group of Citrix partners would be most competitive. The potential award value is not specified, though educational technology license renewals typically range from modest to moderate financial investments depending on the number of user licenses and specific deployment requirements. The procurement seems focused on maintaining existing technological infrastructure rather than introducing a completely new system, which suggests a relatively standard renewal process for the Surry County School Division's digital learning platforms.
