About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure a specific circuit breaker with precise technical specifications, specifically a 13.2 kV AC circuit breaker with a 125VDC tripping coil. This procurement opportunity, identified by the solicitation number 2096920, was posted on December 10, 2025, with a response deadline of December 17, 2025. Potential vendors must complete registration through the Bonfire platform to access detailed bid information and response fields. The procurement requires vendors to submit comprehensive bids that include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs incorporated into the overall price. Bidders must meticulously prepare submissions that detail item specifications, including sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Vendors must also be prepared to comply with DART's stringent delivery requirements, where time and delivery rate are considered essential elements of the contract performance.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly stated in the available documentation. The procurement does not appear to have predefined limitations on vendor participation beyond standard contractual compliance requirements. Vendors must demonstrate the ability to provide the specified circuit breaker and meet DART's rigorous terms and conditions, which include providing commercial warranties covering merchantability, suitability for intended purpose, and technical specification compliance. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate. Vendors must also certify they do not appear on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts and do not boycott Israel. While no specific budget range was provided, the procurement suggests a focused, technical purchase of specialized electrical equipment for DART's infrastructure maintenance or expansion needs.
