About this opportunity
The State of Maine's Division of Purchases is requesting bids for a master agreement for CHOKO Bib-Pants, with sealed bids due February 3, 2011 to the Division of Purchases in Room 119, State Office Building, Augusta. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value to the State.
All bidders must submit a signed, notarized Code of Conduct Affidavit certifying compliance with applicable wage, health, labor, environmental, safety, and non-discrimination laws; human and labor rights treaty obligations; and prohibitions on forced labor, child labor, and involuntary prison labor. Bidders must identify all plant locations where assembly occurs and furnish the affidavit to Sue Garcia by fax (207-287-6578) no later than the bid opening date.
The scope covers Choko Winter Bib-Pants, model #90-75PN or approved equivalent, in Regular and Tall sizes (X-Small through 3X-Large). Bidders must provide unit prices for each size variant and state delivery timeframes in definite terms. The State reserves the right to adjust quantities by up to 10 percent and to reject any or all bids.
All deliveries must be prepaid with transportation charges included. Cash discounts of 20 days or more are considered in award; discounts under 20 days are not. Manufacturers must supply current Material Safety Data Sheets for any hazardous chemicals. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine sales and use taxes; bidders must exclude these amounts from quotes. Bidders proposing alternate commodities must furnish complete identification and descriptive literature. Failure to submit bids on three consecutive requests may result in removal from the bidder register. A preference under Maine purchasing law favors in-state bidders or those offering Maine-produced goods or services in tie situations.
