About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids for a master agreement on Choko #90-75PN bib pants or approved equivalents, with bids due January 11, 2011. The contract will be effective immediately through January 31, 2012, with one initial one-year term and two optional one-year renewal periods.
Bidders must submit unit pricing for bib pants in regular and tall configurations across sizes XS to 3XL (14 line items total). The bib pants must meet detailed technical specifications: Suppratech 400-denier waterproof breathable Oxford nylon shell with Teflon finish, adjustable suspenders, zippered pockets, Cordura reinforcement at seat and knees, reflective storm flaps, padded stretch back, and Technoloft dual polyfill insulation lining. Approximately 50 pairs are anticipated for usage, though actual quantities are determined by departmental orders. The contractor must deliver all items within 10 working days of receiving an order and ensure first-class condition; the contractor remains responsible for repairs or replacements due to faulty workmanship or defective components.
Prices must be quoted as net costs including all transportation charges prepaid with FOB destination delivery, and prices must remain firm for the entire contract duration. All bids must be submitted through Vendor Self Serve (VSS) and cannot be faxed or emailed. The State of Maine requires vendors to accept the State Procurement Card as a payment method with no surcharges permitted.
Vendors awarded contracts for apparel are subject to a 1% Code of Conduct Anti-Sweatshop fee applied to total contract amounts, payable within 30 days of purchase order execution or quarterly for term contracts. A signed Code of Conduct Affidavit must be submitted to Sue Garcia by fax at 207-287-6578 no later than the bid opening date, certifying compliance with applicable workplace, environmental, safety, and anti-discrimination laws and commitment to prohibitions on forced labor, child labor, and human rights violations at all assembly locations.
