About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB605CO21001597) for the Central District Versailles Building Siding & Window Replacement Project located at 1031 Jefferson Road in Versailles, Missouri. The project scope requires a contractor to comprehensively remove existing building components, including vinyl siding, building wrap, rock fascia, pedestrian and overhead doors, door operators, windows, downspouts, and gutters. The contractor must then install new 2x horizontal framing, insulation, windows, doors, electrical devices, louvers, fans, 26-gauge metal siding, gutters, and downspouts. Bid submissions are due by April 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM CDT, with site visits available on March 23-25, 2021 that can be scheduled by contacting Allen Wankum. Written questions must be submitted by March 31, 2021 at 12:00 PM, with answers posted by April 1, 2021 at 3:00 PM. The project must be completed by July 22, 2021, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on total project cost.
MoDOT encourages minority and women-owned business participation, specifically targeting 10% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 5% Women Business Enterprise (WBE) involvement. The bid requires a bid bond or security equal to 5% of the bid amount, with the successful bidder required to provide a 100% performance and payment bond. Prevailing wage requirements apply according to Annual Wage Order #27 for Moniteau County, and liquidated damages of $300 per day will be assessed for late completion. Contractors must provide commercial general liability insurance ($500,000 per person/$3,000,000 per occurrence), automobile liability insurance ($500,000 per person/$3,000,000 per occurrence), and workers' compensation coverage. Payment terms are net 30 days, and MoDOT reserves the right to use the state purchasing card for transactions. While no specific award value is listed in the documentation, the comprehensive renovation project suggests a substantial investment in upgrading the Central District facility's infrastructure.
