About this opportunity
Greene County, Missouri is seeking a comprehensive cellular booster system procurement for a specific facility, with proposals due by August 28, 2025. The contract requires a detailed facility signal survey and design that encompasses two distinct areas, including a comprehensive signal strength assessment both indoors and around the facility's perimeter. Vendors must create a heatmap showing projected indoor signal coverage and design a system supporting multiple carriers including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. The technical requirements mandate support for all major U.S. carriers' LTE and 5G networks, with automatic gain control, real-time monitoring, and FCC Part 20 compliance. Key deliverables include external and internal antenna installation, signal boosters with lightning protection, professional cabling, and a scalable system architecture. The project also requires full system documentation, staff training, pre and post-installation signal measurements, and integration with existing facility network infrastructure. Vendor responsibilities include designing a solution that fits within a 24U rack space, provides remote monitoring capabilities, and ensures uniform coverage across voice and data communication bands.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly stated in the procurement documentation, the contract appears open to qualified technology integration and telecommunications systems providers with expertise in cellular signal enhancement. The project requires advanced technical capabilities, including multi-carrier support, FCC regulatory compliance, and sophisticated signal boosting technology. The proposed solution must be compatible with the facility's existing IT infrastructure, including network closets and potential emergency power systems. Although no specific budget range is provided, the comprehensive nature of the project—involving site survey, system design, equipment procurement, installation, training, and documentation—suggests a substantial investment in cellular communication infrastructure. Vendors will likely need demonstrated experience in cellular signal enhancement, network integration, and complex telecommunications system deployments to successfully compete for this opportunity.
