About this opportunity
The Colorado Community College System is requesting proposals for executive coaching services under RFP 27-006, with proposals due November 10, 2026. The lead coach must satisfy material minimum qualifications: prior service as a chancellor, president, or chief executive officer in public higher education; senior executive experience in a multicampus higher-education system serving at least 75,000 students annually (measured by annual duplicated headcount); and at least three years of experience providing individualized executive coaching to sitting community college presidents or system chancellors. These qualifications cannot be waived and may be satisfied through a named subcontractor documented in Tab C.
The scope includes individual and group executive coaching to CCCS leadership and staff across system institutions, with monthly coaching sessions, stakeholder conversations, meeting observations, and document reviews. Coaching is delivered primarily in virtual format supplemented by up to two annual in-person onsite engagements in the Denver metro area. Proposers must outline the estimated volume of ancillary activities. Proposals are limited to 20 pages excluding administrative documents.
Annual pricing is capped at $60,000, including all travel and lodging costs for onsite engagements. CCCS prefers a total annual cost with detailed breakdown, evaluated on reasonableness rather than lowest price. The maximum cost remains fixed across all five potential contract years without escalation at renewal. Vendors must submit detailed cost proposals including hourly coaching rates, assessment fees, and any additional service charges.
The contract term is anticipated to begin following award and approval, with potential for renewal options based on performance and funding availability. Evaluation will consider cost competitiveness alongside qualifications, experience, and coaching methodologies. The State will provide input on confidentiality protocols included in the engagement charter. Registration with the Colorado Secretary of State and Colorado VSS may be completed after award and prior to contract execution.
