About this opportunity

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is requesting proposals for executive coaching services to the Chancellor under RFP 27-006, with proposals due November 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM via BidNet Direct and a virtual public opening at 2:15 PM the same day. The lead coach must hold direct experience as a chancellor, president, or system-level executive in public higher education with demonstrated success reporting to a governing board overseeing multiple college presidents and three or more years of individualized executive coaching or formal executive mentoring to sitting community-college presidents or comparable public-sector chief executives.

CCCS operates a 13-college statewide system serving at least 75,000 students annually. The contractor will deliver at least one 60–90 minute monthly coaching session, remain available for consultation between sessions, conduct a structured engagement launch within 30 days of contract start, participate in a 6-month progress assessment, observe relevant meetings, provide up to two annual onsite engagements, and assist in defining and assessing at least two annual leadership-development goals. The scope addresses leadership strategy, senior-team development, Board relationships, change management, reform implementation, and strategic communications. The contractor must have experience supporting a chief executive through leadership transition and organizational transformation.

The maximum annual contract value is $60,000. The initial term runs December 15, 2026 to December 15, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal options at CCCS's sole discretion for a maximum five-year duration. Pricing must remain firm during the initial term and include all annual and one-time expenses, fees, materials, and administrative costs. Proposals are limited to 20 pages (excluding administrative documents) submitted as a single PDF with required tabs for experience, team qualifications, technical and business approach, cost, references, confidential information requests, and any exceptions to purchase order terms. Written inquiries are due October 19, 2026. The Intent to Award is estimated for December 15, 2026. Evaluation considers experience, team qualifications, approach and methodology, pricing, and potential demonstrations or discussions.
